Worried you can't pay on time?
If you need to delay a payment, you're finding it hard to pay the full amount, or you think you may be entitled to rebates, there are options to help you pay your bill

Direct debit

Direct debit is the easiest way to pay every bill on time, automatically, from a nominated bank account or credit card. You'll still receive a paper bill or eBill so you'll know how much will be deducted and have time to query it if you need to. Card payments have a 0.4% processing fee, but there's no fee if your payment comes from your bank account.

Online

There are 2 ways you can pay your bill quickly and securely online: by credit or debit card and using PayPal. Go to bill payment to make an online payment.

Credit or debit card

Pay your bill online anytime using Mastercard or Visa. All credit and debit card payments have a 0.4% processing fee, which will appear on your next bill.

PayPal

You can use your card or bank account to pay your bill through PayPal. Card payments usually have a 0.4% processing fee, but there’s no fee for card or bank account payments through PayPal.

BPAY

Add Sydney Water to your online banking BPAY payee list. You can make one-off payments or set up regular payments. Simply make sure there's enough cash in your account on the scheduled date. And with BPAY, there’s no fee if you use a credit or debit card. You'll need our biller code and your customer number.

Sydney Water BPAY biller code: 45435
Customer reference number (CRN): Your CRN is your Sydney Water customer number.

Phone

Call 1300 123 458 anytime to pay your bill using your Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card. A 0.4% processing fee applies to all card payments. The fee will appear on your next bill.

Centrepay through Centrelink

If you receive payments from Centrelink, you can arrange to make deductions directly to your Sydney Water account using Centrepay. It's a free service. Your payments will be automatic, but you still need to check your Sydney Water bill to make sure they're covering the amount necessary.

  • If you own your property and receive Centrelink payments, you can make deductions straight to your Sydney Water account. Call us on 13 20 92 so we can set this up for you.
  • If you're a tenant, call Services Australia or visit Services Australia for more information.

Post Billpay (Australia Post)

If you get paper bills, you can pay them in person at any Australia Post office by cash, cheque or EFTPOS, or online 24/7 at postbillpay.com.au. If you use a credit or debit card, remember that a merchant service fee may apply.

Australia Post can't accept payment for bills received online via eBill.

EFT for business customers

If you're a business customer, you can contact us to arrange to pay your bills via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). For more information, please email us at billing.support@sydneywater.com.au.
